Our Story

Proverbs University is far from your average training company. We're a community of existing & emerging thought leaders who are changing the way people lead, learn, and work.

We’ve spent over two decades following learning and development trends, mastering performance management principles, and building rigorous curricula and consultative best practices that could stand the test of time. For businesses that recognize the value of having a diversified workforce to serve and support their customer base now and in the future, Proverbs University will be a preferred strategic partner for training and developing both talented professionals who are revered as industry experts, and young professionals looking to begin their journey. The inspiration behind Proverbs University was born from a love for learning and a deep desire to transform lives—both personally and professionally. Our founder and chief learning officer, Dr. Kristal Walker, is a seasoned human capital development leader known for her expertise in learning & development (L&D), human resources (HR), cultural intelligence (CQ), and organizational leadership. Her visionary leadership has shaped our hybrid approach to education—one that equips adult learners with the technical, interpersonal, and life skills needed to thrive in their careers and in life. We celebrate the philosophy that learning is more than just a means to an end; it's a lifelong pursuit of excellence.

Our Process

We believe that instructional design is not just about creating effective training programs, but also about making sure those programs are engaging and enjoyable. That said, we've created the Proverbs Adult Learning Design Method (or the P.A.L.D. Method) to keep our students engaged throughout the learning journey.

Our Commitment

Proverbs University is committed to inclusive excellence. We pride ourselves on fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive online learning culture that empowers learners to thrive in their pursuit of skill acquisition and application. We believe that embracing inclusive excellence is not only essential for personal growth but also serves as a catalyst for professional development and organizational success.

We recognize that our learners come from diverse backgrounds with varied cultural expectations. We value their personal experiences and believe their unique perspectives make for great dialogue during classroom discussions, and unique contributions to group case study projects. We are dedicated to actively promoting and integrating inclusive excellence in everything we do, and we are not afraid to admit when we have missed the mark along our journey.
